Effects of fan volute structure on airflow characteristics in rice combine harvesters

Aim of study: Selecting a proper fan for the rice combine harvesters to get good cleaning performance when harvesting high yield rice. Area Jiangsu Province, China.Material and methods: Three potential multi-duct fans were designed, computational fluid dynamics hot wire anemometer technology utilized learn airflow pressure variation inside with perforated plates at outlet ducts as loads. Then, best was selected test-bed developed. The corresponding velocity in system analyzed ideal different section sieve clarified. Finally, field experiment carried out.Main results: For harvester feed rate 7 kg/s (material other than grain + grain), requested rates shoe about 3.0 m3/s. 8-9 m/s upper duct, 4-6 middle section, 3-4 tail section; large improvement achieved designed fan.Research highlights: decreased loads duct increased. averaged ≥7 under loads, lowest ≥ 9 m/s, is favorable forming blowing stratification.
